Amerex B570 30lb Flammable Metal Fire Extinguisher FM Approved for Class D
Model B570 Class D extinguisher contains a special blended sodium chloride- based dry powder extinguishing agent. Heat from the fire causes it to cake and form a crust, excluding air and dissipating heat from burning metal. This extinguisher can successfully smother metal fires involving magnesium, sodium, potassium and sodium-potassium alloys.
There is data showing that this unique extinguisher can control and douse zirconium, uranium, titanium, and powdered aluminum fires. It allows the operator to stand away from the extreme heat and toxic fumes caused by burning material. The easily controlled, even discharge provides a non-dispersing application of the agent.
The extension applicator may be quickly detached to provide a straight stream of extinguishing agent where greater range is required. This extinguisher is equipped with a dependable drawn steel cylinder. Bilingual labels.
