A fire alarm relay allows your fire alarm system to perform automated tasks incase of an emergency. The relay distributes power to devices in certain circumstances. They can be used to close fire doors, switch off music systems, switch off air conditioning and more.

Fire alarm control panels require reliable power sources to operate in an emergency. This can be done through having two different power sources such as a primary power source and an emergency generator. Another option is a single power supply source such as primary ac power and a stored energy emergency power supply system

The power supply must be able to run the system for 24 hours in standby and 5 minutes in alarm conditions.
